Thursday, April 13 was the reception for my paintings at Strand Gallery at OSU. I was extremely gratified to see so many friends at the opening reception. OSU did a masterful job of presenting and promoting this exhibition. I want to think the curator of the show, the extremely capable Owen Premore. he made it so easy for me to prepare for this show and I can’t thank you enough we were also welcomed by the impressive dean of the school of agriculture, Staci Simonich

The art collection of the Strand gallery and their annual show “art about agriculture“ strike me as unique, and so appropriate to Oregon, a fertile state to say the least. I love this collection, which is devoted to the process of growing and produce providing food to people. What could be more wholesome or meaningful? The agriculture department also includes a research center in Newport Oregon, making it not only a land grant university, but an ocean grant university as well. The aesthetic therefore includes the sea and its culture. What a treasure we have an Oregon! I am so delighted to have a part and all that is offered here. Thank you Oregon State University.
