Life As an Artist …

Jennifer JoyceArt News, Personal

My life as an artist has morphed recently.  7 years ago I broke a leg,and then had a fractured pelvis.  All this which made it impossible to work on sites for Mcmenamins.

I spent the time recuperating and focussing on  my personal studio art.

I rediscovered my abstract roots, (I studied art in the 1960’s,) and my love of oil painting.

It has been wonderful and challenging to find and develop my current oil painting language and style.

It is very gratifying to be represented by the Portland Art Museum’s Rental Sales Gallery,  the Attic Gallery in Camas, and recently in a juried art invitational show in Walla Walla Washington, hosted by the Combine Art Collective.

I am thrilled to have my paintings seen in these venues.
